Prices & Conditions
A booking fee must be paid for all orders, either by cash or bank deposit, upon confirmation of the order.
All orders over $100 must be paid in full prior to collection. All other orders must be paid by bank deposit prior to collection or by cash on collection.
Wedding cakes balances are due to be paid no later than 2 weeks prior to the wedding date.
All quotations are valid for 14 days, once deposit has been paid, price remains fixed to the details of quote and any changes will result in price amendments.
Non- refundable booking fee
All bookings are date specific, if you change your mind or cancel for any reason your booking fee is forfeit against other orders we have declined in order to take your booking. We will endeavour to fulfill another date if available in circumstances when you need to postpone a booking.
All cancellation requests must be made in writing.
If cancellation is prior to 12 weeks before event deposit will be refunded less a $50 administration fee.
If a refund is granted for any reason it will be in the form of a credit note.
In the event that Vines Cakes are unable to make your cake (accident, injury, or illness) a full refund will be given.
Delivery charges will apply depending on the venue and delivery address.
Cake Stand Hire
$100 bond is applied for all stand hire and will be refunded when the stand is returned in its original condition.
Bond will not be returned if the stand is chipped or damaged in any way or not returned in the specified time.
Do not attempt to repair stand in any way as this may result in irreparable damage. If the stand is un-repairable you will be required to pay to replace it.
Food Products & Services
Please be aware that our products could contain traces of nuts, it is the clients responsibility to inform others.
Non edible items that are used as decoration must be removed from the cake before serving, Vines cakes are not responsible for any issues regarding non edible decorations.
Vines Cakes will ensure every effort is made to ensure cake matches colours and details as quotation but reserve the right to make changes if products are not available or not suitable. We will contact you regarding any changes that need to be made.
In extreme temperatures, over 35' we can not be responsible for cakes that are not in their perfect state, it is extremely difficult to work with fondant icing, ganache and buttercream in these temperatures and especially humidity which causes icing to sweat and stay sticky which makes it impossible to smooth with tools. we will endeavour to do our best in these circumstances but as you can understand these humid hot conditions cause many problems to food items.
We are not responsible for any damage to the cake once set up is complete. You or your venue are responsible for providing a secure suitable table for set up. Cakes need to be kept in a cool room at al times and with air conditioning in warmer weather.
Some chocolate covered cakes will require refrigerating until needed, especially in warmer weather, you will be advised.
Fresh flowers are not a food safe product and if chosen this is your responsibility if any problem arises regarding pesticide insects dirt or contaminants.
If you or your representative pick up and set up your own cake, Vines Cakes are not responsible for any damage once collected.
Our cakes will be photographed and we reserve the right to use these photographs for display or promotional purposes.
